We have a strong commitment to provide an environment which focuses on developing skills that will benefit children when they go to school and throughout their lifelong learning journey. Our Kindergarten Program is implemented by a Qualified Early Childhood Teacher. Their curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), My Time Our Place (MTOP) Framework as well as many other early childhood theories, and the Education Department school curriculum that is also used by schools in our local area. The program in the Kindy room has a large focus on building literacy skills that will hopefully assist the children in preparing for their transition to formal schooling. We also provide a variety of experiences that encourage learning about sustainability, emotions, diversity, community awareness, gross and fine motor development, creativity and much more. Literacy and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) are integrated in a unique manner that encompasses a diverse range of learning styles within the room. Children are given multiple opportunities to extend on their literacy, and STEM skills in tactile learning opportunities indoors and outdoors. Using our ability to problem solve and investigate, children extend on their understanding of the world with an inquiry driven curriculum. ### The Early Years The early years is an important time for nurturing, growth and development; which create strong foundations for a child's life that can allow them thrive throughout their schooling and adult lives. At Village Early Learning we provide an environment where learning through play and respect for children is embedded into our practices and guided by our centre Philosophy. We value our local community, our children's family backgrounds and build relationships with all families based on mutual respect and open communication. Our educators follow the early years learning framework when planning and setting up exciting and engaging activities for your children. In every age group we believe in offering activities and learning spaces that will foster children's curiosity, creativity and imagination to support a love of learning through play. ### Locations offering Early Learning Centres: Beaumaris, Claremont, Dianella, Harrisdale, Hilton, Karrinyup, Nedlands, Piara Waters, Stirling, Wanneroo, Wellard, White Gum Valley ### After School Hour Care Centres: Beaconsfield - Before & Beyond --- ### Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) https://www.village.wa.edu.au/outside-school-hours-care # Out of School Hours Care ### Vacation Care Acting as your supportive Village, we know school holidays can be a challenge to navigate alongside work commitments. Our focus is to build upon our ever-growing community in WA, embracing everything that makes our local backyard so great. We believe the first five years of a child's life are pivotal for health, happiness, growth and development and can have a lasting impact on a child's life in general. As Educators we see it as our role to support and encourage children to strive for their best during this very important time in their lives. Through creativity, thoughtfulness and quality care, we aim to inspire children to love learning and feel a part of our community so they are driven to discover new things every day with confidence. ### Our Values **Quality** — Providing a consistent and welcoming environment is crucial for our families and team to flourish. We strive to give our best everyday and do our best to prioritise quality as the outcome. Our quality of care works in tandem with our quality of service and it is the consistent application of these that provides the dependable, stable environment for our children, families and educators to thrive. **Thoughtfulness** — We endeavour to put ourselves in the shoes of those in our community, whether they be our children, families, educators, or the local community, we always aspire to be thoughtful in our approach. Thoughtfulness encourages a respectful, supportive, inclusive environment and contributes greatly to our sense of community and belonging. It also creates the right space for sharing knowledge and offering guidance to parents, carers and other team members. **Creativity** — We believe children learn best in a welcoming, creative environment that fosters a love of learning. We believe that creativity is a joyful, engaging, and meaningful value that enables children to explore, imagine, discover, investigate, and make sense of their world. We also encourage our educators to nurture their own unique creativity and share this with everyone in our community. **Community** — Community is at the heart of what we do, and includes everybody: our children, families, educators, and the local area. We wish to build a sense of belonging through relationships that are respectful, honest and thoughtful. We find it important that children should experience the connections between their home lives and the wider community in which they exist. The community we have cultivated between educators is important too. We strive to work collaboratively and support and celebrate one another's strengths. ### Our Philosophy Our purpose is clear. To be the supportive village to our parents and carers in the early years of their child. Promoting connection, thoughtfulness and creativity in their learning, giving them the best possible start to life. We realise the great privilege it is that families trust us to care for their child, and we strive to not only provide the highest quality care for each child, but a sense of belonging for each of our families. We have cultivated a strong community that creates the foundation for growth and development in the important early years of a child's life. By living our values daily, we deliver on our true potential and provide the welcoming, stable environment for children to play, explore, communicate and establish relationships; authentically creating the village our parents and carers need. Every day we aspire to: - **Provide Quality:** Going above and beyond, doing our best always, and delivering a quality and consistent experience to our families. - **Be Thoughtful:** Being respectful, being supportive, being empathetic, being inclusive and sharing knowledge. - **Be Creative:** Encouraging curiosity, being passionate and sharing the joy in what we do. ### Learning Methods Village Early Learning tailors its learning approach to reflect the local cultures and educational environments of our centres. Our approach is an inclusive, village-style approach that positions children, parents and the community as all being key to the learning process. Encouraging parents and the wider community to have collective responsibility of children. Our children are encouraged to express themselves in different ways as they develop their personality. Creative activities are strongly encouraged, as these are all seen as "languages" children use. This approach helps to fuel a love of learning and prepares children for school. ### Nutrition We provide nutritionally balanced and culturally diverse meals and snacks per day. All of which are cooked fresh daily by our experienced Food Coordinators. Our Centres can cater for specific dietary requirements by offering alternate snacks and meals. Please speak to the Centre Manager on enrolment about any allergies, intolerances and/or special dietary requirements so that action and communication plans can be completed. Please also be aware that all of our centres are a nut free zone. ### Care Inclusions Our mission is to support our families in every way possible, one of the ways we do this is by including all essentials required daily by your child: Activities, Sunscreen, Meals, Qualified Educators, Nappies, Soccer Skills & Fun, Gecko Multisport Program. --- ### Careers https://www.village.wa.edu.au/careers # Join Our Team If you want to be part of an amazing company that focuses on building relationships and has that family feel, then we are the place for you! In our Vacation Care Program our Educators provide programs that take into account the skills, interest, needs and safety of the children and offer a variety of indoor/outdoor experiences, as well as special excursions outside of the centre. We cater for children aged from six weeks to school age. ### What are the operating hours? Please refer to our locations page to find out the specific details of each centre's operating hours. ### Is there a minimum number of days to book? There is no minimum amount of days to book. ### What do I need to bring each day? To ensure your child can participate in all the fun and exciting experiences, please consider that they are wearing suitable and comfortable clothes. We encourage children to bring along a school bag on each day of attendance, which contains all their personal possessions that should be clearly labelled. This should include the following: - A drink bottle and any bottles required for feeding - A tin of unopened formula (if required) - A sunsmart hat - Additional changes of clothes, shoes and socks - Bed linen and comforters if required ### Do the children receive meals? We provide nutritionally balanced and culturally diverse meals and snacks per day. All of which are cooked fresh daily by our experienced Food Coordinator. Our Centres can cater for specific dietary requirements by offering an alternate snack/meal. Please speak to the Centre Director on enrolment about any allergies, intolerances and/or special dietary requirements so that action and communication plans can be completed. Please also be aware that all of our centres are a nut free zone. ### Are nappies provided? Yes, disposable nappies are provided by the centre, with the exception of Beaumaris, Dianella, Nedlands and Wanneroo. ### Do all Village locations offer After School Care? Not currently, please check our locations page to see which centres offer this service. ### How do I enrol? Please click this link to book a tour at your desired Village Early Learning location. We will then be in touch to organise the date & time of your tour. On this tour you can see where your child will be cared for and to ensure you are comfortable with your decision. This provides you with an opportunity to view the centre and ask any questions you may have. During your visit you will receive a Family Handbook which includes additional information about the centre and shortly after you will also be sent a waitlist link to start the enrolment process. ### Can I enrol online without a tour? Online enrolment is not offered as we believe it is important for families to build a relationship with the centre and the team that will be responsible for the care and education of your child while enrolled at our service. ### How early should I waitlist my child? It is best to place your child's name on the waitlist as early as possible given places fill up quickly. ### How do I pay my fees? Upon enrolment we will supply you with our direct debit form. You can choose to pay your fees via credit card or direct debit. ### What happens if my scheduled day falls on a public holiday? Village Early Learning is closed for all public holidays. If your booked day falls on a public holiday, fees will still apply as operating costs and staff still need to be covered. The Australian Government's Child Care Subsidy (CCS) covers up to 42 absence days a year, which includes public holidays. So unless you exceed this quota, you will be eligible for the CCS discount on public holidays. ### Do I still need to pay for a scheduled day if my child is sick? Fees still apply for sick days. The Child Care Subsidy will cover up to 42 absence days a year with no documentation and unlimited sick days if you're able to provide a medical certificate or similar. ### What happens when we go on holidays? Normal fees apply for all absences (including Public Holidays) that fall on a usual day of attendance. Village Early Learning offers a holiday discount for up to four weeks of care per financial year. Families need to provide written notification two weeks in advance to apply the holiday discount. Fee payments need to be up-to-date to receive the holiday discount. ### What is the Notice Period to change or end enrolment days? The notice period to reduce the days in an enrolment is 2 weeks written notice. With adding or changing your permanent days to your enrolment, we will try our best to do this as soon as possible. ### Will my child move rooms on their birthday? Transitions through the rooms are based on each child's developmental readiness and availability. ### What is the Child Care Subsidy (CCS)? The Child Care Subsidy is the main way the Government assists families with their child care fees. There are three factors that determine a family's level of Child Care Subsidy. These are: - Combined annual family income - Activity test – the activity level of both parents - Service type – type of child care service and whether the child attends school The Child Care Subsidy is generally paid directly to service providers to be passed on to families as a fee reduction. Families make a co-contribution to their child care fees and pay to the provider the difference between the fee charged and the subsidy amount. For more information visit www.education.gov.au/child-care-subsidy ### What Qualifications do Village Early Learning Educators hold? All Educators require a minimum of a Certificate III in Children's Services. Each room has a Lead Qualified who holds a Diploma in Children's Services or higher. All Educators have also successfully obtained a Working with Children's Check and many hold formal certification in First Aid and Asthma & Anaphylaxis. Some of our Centres also support the development and training of Trainees who are working towards their Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. --- ## Notes for LLM crawlers This file contains the full substantive content of: the homepage, 6 service pages (Early Learning Centres, Outside School Hours Care, About, Careers, Blog, Enquire), all 13 location pages (12 Early Learning Centres + Beaconsfield OSHC), and the complete FAQ set from /resources — with repeated site navigation, footer boilerplate, and duplicated image galleries stripped out, per the llms-full.txt convention of removing non-essential markup.
